I bought my son the 20 gauge but he's decided to go with a 410 and the gun is just sitting around. I've thought about getting an adult stock for it and using it for myself. My question is will the 18.5 inch barrel hold good patterns out to 40 or 50 yards? I've always been told longer barrel means longer kill range but with today's chokes and ammo I don't think it's necessarily true but wonder if anyone has done the same with this gun and how it worked out?
