This thread will be used ONLY for reporting harvested gobblers for the OG Turkey Contest.  Please make sure that you not only report the scores for your bird but that you also post pictures of your measurements and also a picture that shows your screen name, date and measurements with scores for the weight, beard or beards and left and right spurs and then the total score.  If you tag a multiple bearded bird you also must show a picture of the root or base of the beard to show that the bird is truly a multiple bearded bird.  Also make sure that you show a picture of each beard measurement on multiple bearded birds.

Please Do Not clutter this thread with accolades and general talk.  This thread is for reporting your harvest or kills only.  It is Highly recommended and encouraged that you start another thread where you can share your hunt and pictures with the rest of your teammates.  But again please....Please keep this thread clear of clutter so we can keep an accurate record of all of our harvested birds.

Good Luck This Spring, Hunt Safe and Take Lots of Pictures.

Here is a example of what your score pictures need to look like to have your gobbler scored in the contest.  Notice the clear pictures with his forum information and the SCALE ect ect ect.... A beard measurement from HAIRLINE to TIP and using the correct spur measuring method with CLEAR  pictures showing the tape ruler!  Thank you Chad  Right On

It is not the biggest Osceola I have killed but a respectable one. It had a 9” beard, the right and left spurs were 1 1/16” and the weight was 19lbs, 12ozs. Using the Gobbler-Matic for the score, if I did it correctly is 59.

Here are a few pictures from this morning:

Nice Osceola. He weight 22lbs, 9ozs., right spur  1 3/8” and the left spur 1.5, beard 10 5/8This is the gobbler I shot. According to the Gobbler-Matic the score is: 72.5625.

This is another Osceola that I called in and was relatively close.

I think I short myself a little bit on the one spur, it really was 1.5 for both the right and left spurs. I measured them first with a metal tape measure and did not get an accurate measure so I which to a soft tape measure and got a better measurement. But I already wrote it down on the plate, so I left it.

I have posted some updated photos for you all to review. I guess there is some question because of the base of the tape was covered in my earlier photos. I took some more photos tonight and I will let you all make the judgement call. It does not matter to me. I know you suppose to measure from the base of the spur where it is attached to the leg and measure the outside curve of the spur to the point. No one was home to help with the measuring tonight so I did the best that I could holding tghe tape and the camera to take the photos.

The bird scores again.  This time on an Iowa Hoss this morning which would be the second day of our 3rd season.  This boy tried to sneak his way in and was in for a major surprise when I squeezed the trigger on the Black Bird and sent a load of Nitro at the back of his noggin.  I bet he must of thought a swarm of bee's hit him real hard as he did a forward cartwheel landin' flat on his back.

Weight: 25 pig pounds
Beard: 11 thick paintbrush inches
Left Spur: 1 1/16 inches and he also had a nub but I didn't measure it. (double spur)
Right Spur: 1 1/16 inches

Total Score: 68.25

Can you find the VooDoo eyeball?

Taken with my favorite call of all.  A Lights Out double sided slate over glass in Wenge with a Lights Out Ebony striker.

Here is a couple pictures of a turkey tote my son made.  I had him make up a few of these and I gave them as presents to a few people.  I really like mine a ton and have had several people say how much easier it makes carrying your bird back to the truck.  Several people have showed interest in these turkey totes.  If someone is interested in one let me know and I will see if he would be willing to make some more for sale.  Not sure how much he would charge but these turkey totes sure are handy.

Got an Iowa heavyweight to get posted. The only problem I have is my buddy was doing the measuring and I wrote the numbers down on a plate and didn't realize until later he measured the spurs wrong. So the numbers on the plate don't jive, they are smaller. He said both were 1 3/8" but the pictures show them as 1 1/8" and 1 1/4" and that is how I scored him. Hopefully that isn't a big deal as the pictures definately show the correct measurements. Anyway the #'s are:
Spurs: 1 1/8" and 1 1/4"
Beard: 11 1/8"
Weight: 29 lb 7 oz
