Anyone else like to see EM produce some 20Ga. mag. blends??
I would for the added velocity for one reason;
Its no secret Nitro company's 4x5x7 is a turkey killer...
I'd like to have the mag blend available over the counter
 Idea If we get enough response maybe we can email EM a link to this thread..

Only having 1 1/4 ounce to play with, personally I'd rather fill it with straight number 7's.  The effectiveness of them have been shown time and time again.  Some people love the hard hitting of the larger shot as well though so I'm sure people would give a 20 gauge mag blend a try.

As far as I know, EM is supposed to be working on a Mag Blend for the 20 ga, as well as the 10 ga, to introduce for the 2011 season.

I knew it wouldnt take long for that comment on the str. 7's....
I would like to give it a try if only for the velocity...
I sure there would be plenty of pellets to kill a turkey in their Grin

Indian Creek and Hevi 13 are both worth the money.

A 6x7 or 5x7 Duplex shell would also be nice.

I wish they would up the speed to about 1200, but I see no need for a blend. I would not bother trying them, but I'm sure many would. I like #7s.

Ok think about 1150-1200 and 1.5 oz of 7's....Feds are 1.5 but running 1100 with the 15 gram..pure super nasty in the 20 and 12 if you think about whats hitting the other end even though there are less pellets...I would go all EM if they would work up a 1.5 oz load.. I have my 20 busting 160+ with the 15 gram feds..in the tempest .555  I would trade that for 200 maybe....in the 12 gram pellet..Nitro is fast but not firing true 7's either...they make a killer for sure..I use them as well..it's a swap out for powder versus load weight and velocity..The hardest firing production 12 ga shell I have shot to date is the 3.5" 1-7/8 oz heavyweight...Only the 2-7/16... H-517 has more attitude on the recoil..Thats the best thing about the em's..they do the job and dont cripple the shooter and are readily available to your door in 3-5 days.. those 1.5 oz 20 ga feds and nitro's rock like a mild 3.5" 12 ga...load similar to the straight 7's from em.

Yep, the Federal Heaviweight #7s are what I shot all last spring and what I will continue to shoot as long as they are available. I was very impressed with their performance in the field.

One thing we need to look at is with the nitro 7s folks are easily getting in the 225-240 range.. With the H 13 7s not so much.. So depending on the breakdown on the blend load, it would be interesting to see if folks could place enough pellets to ensure a 40 yd kill with a buffer for error..

I gotta believe they would have to diminish the number of 5 and 6 pellets to do so and thus negate any extended range advantage the larger pellets could offer..
