I just bought my first shotgun yesterday. It's the Benelli Nova in APG with a 26" barrel. Got the Indian Creek choke to go with it and some HEVI-13 3-2-6's waiting to be patterned. Can't wait!

You could also say you just bought your last shotgun....unless you're like me and find a way to justify a new one now and then...congrats on a very wise purchase....good stuff.

Now to get out and use it, that's even more fun. My first was a Rem 870 deluxe, full choke, with my very first paycheck (104.00 as I remember).
Nuthin' was safe after that. Elmer Fudd was loose, the first thing I got was a wascally wabbitt.

Congratulations! There's nothing quite like a new shotgun. Best of luck this spring.

Thanks,

Great set-up right there - the Nova is a very reliable gun (I treat two like a red-headed step-child during duck and goose season lending them to clients).  I might caution you to get a slip-on Limbsaver for it if it would see any waterfowl hunting (the recoil pad is hard for repeated mag shooting), but for turkey it should be fine...especially with Hevi13.  Nice choice, and good luck gettin it bloody.
