I have used one for muzzle loading elk for years now. Its perfect for a quick steady shot when im sitting for the final calls. There is usually a lot of running and gunning and no time to use a tri/bi pod.

I've had one since they came out.I keep it clipped on my vest until its time to use. My gun(835) is always on my knee in the ready position.Once it fell off my vest and was laying on the floor of my truck and didn't no. I had to hunt without it all day long.My knee was sore.  I was surprised the way it bothered me not having it.That was a good invention. I'm sure the ones that use it will tell you likewise.
IMHO I would recommend having one.

X3. They work great. Sure beats having the gun slip off you knee. Makes using a slate or box call easier without having to balance so much stuff.

I think they're great.  They really add to my comfort ability to sit to a stubborn gobbler that's hung up just a little too far while still being ready to shoot.  And I'm a "run-n-gunner", it seems pretty simple to me.  It stays clipped on my vest while moving (I hate it sliding down to my ankles), if I have time to put it on, I do so.  If he's too close when I locate him, I don't worry about it.

Cut a piece or cord about the length from your knee to your waist tie one end to the gun rest and the other end to your belt. This will keep the rest from falling down your leg and will keep it in the right posistion.

I use one all the time.  It keeps my gun where it needs to be while I'm calling.

I had been thinking of getting one and then saw this post and picked one up.  Used it for my Osceola hunt with Shannon and it was great.  Held the gun perfect and no slipping off, hands were free.  Great product.

This is one of my favorites, like the rest of everyone I have my gun ready at all times.  Resting on my knee and resting in my make shift cloth stock holder I improvised on my vest.  Makes it so easy to call and still have my gun ready to go.
