That thing is one of my prized possessions.  I don't leave the house without it.

It is still legal to whoop your wife once a year in Arkansas, does that make it OK. (In reference to shooting a turkey with a rifle.) Right On

In my opinion, it's the best product H.S. Strut ever put out.

I wear one on each knee and have for a few years now.  Not the best thing ever but not so expensive that it matters.  They always fall down to my ankles when I'm walking, even if I start them above my knees.  But they serve their purpose.

I used to use one-- its a great practical item to own

I stopped using it because the Ghillie suit I use serves the same purpose and keeps the run rested right on my knee

Great little piece of equipment, I love it.  The H.S. SUV vest has a "Gun Stock Buddy"... an adjustable loop on the front to hold the butt of your gun stock as well. Used together, you can have both hands free to run a slate, box or scratch in the leaves. I surprised other forms of this idea hasn't caught on with other vest manufacturers.

I see the Gun Rest is being poo-pooed as unecessary by the run and gunners. That's all relevant to where you hunt my friends. I hunt many small parcels and I can't afford to tromp all over them bumping birds, you gotta put your butt down and be patient in that case.

I love mine and have used it for quite a number of years. It helps keep the gun up and comfortable when I decide to run friction call. I probably need to get another for a backup.

I too have used one since they first came out!  This is one of the best accessories that I carry to the woods!  I hook it on my right leg when I get out of the truck(I'm a leftie), and leave it there until I get back to the truck.  I wear snake boots or rubber boots, so it doesn't slide down my leg, it stays right under my knee.  Great piece of equipment! Yea I've used one to ever since they came out. Think I'm on my 3rd one now. They do wear out. I just leave mine on all the time. Very handy to have one.

I've never used one, typically I leave my gun down until i think he's about to commit.  However after reading all of ya'lls reviews I just ordered one for my wife.  She has a hard time resting her gun on her knee, because her knee is so narrow.

In the past I have taken some black foam and attatched it to my gun sling....this would keep my gun comfortably on my knee and sling still from swinging. Now I also use the H.S. Strutt V-pod.....love it!
