Got my hands on some black cherry should make for some sharp looking turkey sounding calls. It's got some heavy gum lines in it.  Left purple slate right red

Thanks    yes hard beat cherry for a turkey sounding slate plus look good  got enough of this wood for round 40 calls so wont be last seen of it LOL

Love the gum lines.   If you look at it too long, you start seeing stuff in there!!
