Tss Brands

Opinions and experience wanted about the Tss manufacturers of today. Have shot Nitro in Heavy 13 blends since the late 90's. Had one misfire and the buffer leaking. They kicked hard  and killed stuff.
Today's there is Apex, Nitro, Boss, Federal etc.
I know patterning and chokes count, but does one ammo company stand out in quality, performance, cost, service?

Don't overlook Pendleton ammo and a new one that will be out next year....Wilson's custom loads.

I've had good luck with Pendleton Ammo.   It patterns well out of my 835.

I've shot Apex (20 ga), Federal (20 ga), Foxtrot (12, 28 ga) and Burgess Creek (12 ga). All patterned well out of my guns and all but the Burgess Creek have killed turkeys. The 12 gauge are 2-3/4" and I prefer the lighter Foxtrot Mini Twister load (1-5/8 oz) over the Burgess Creek load (1-7/8 oz) for my Model 12. I plan on shooting the Burgess Creek loads out of my 1300 which will handle the recoil much better. The 1-1/2 oz. 28 gauge Cherry Bombs from Foxtrot are the bomb, pun intended.

I've been in contact with Apex multiple times in the last year about a 2-3/4" 12 gauge 1-5/8 oz load. They seemed open to the idea but have yet to offer it. The difference in recoil is very noticeable between the Mini Twister and the Burgess Creek load, especially to my 80+ year old Model 12.
