Like everyone else I'm sick of being home. Other than work I'm quarantined for another 7 days as two members of my family tested positive and I had been with them for a short time.. They are fine and I have missed it as far as I know at this time which is good but I'm board. I've been wanting to do a carbon fiber tip striker for some time now. I know this is nothing new as there are plenty of real good ones out there and I own and hunt them. I wanted it in my striker style. So I started to turn a few and I'm happy with the results. Again nothing special here just in my striker style and they have worked well on the calls I tested so far. Then there was the dymondwood from hell. This stuff has to be the hardest dymondwood I have turned to date. So hard that the carbide bits really hate it and I'm on edge the whole time I'm turning. I only did three and counted my blessings that they worked out. I have enough to turn more just not doing it at this time. I find if I'm in the right frame of mind that I can stay calm and work through the head ache. Thanx for the look.
