Why be chalking when you could be talking
« on: June 27, 2020, 02:27:16 PM »
Who is old enough here to remember Lost John Turkey Calls. I would think that  John T. Grayson has passed on to his reward by now. He made a interesting call that had a good sound to it. I miss those old time turkey hunter call makers. I do not know if they are still being made.

I had a Lost John Turkey call years ago. It was made by John S....  from Bruceton Mills WV.  Sounds like a different  callmaker.

There is a John Sisler who is or was part of the company. But I beleave that John Grayson is who came up with the call.

John Sisler bought the design from him.  I used to know John, his daughter lived beside me for a few years.  Nice folks.  Last I heard, John was still making a few.

This is one of mine.
