Nice. No way a gobbler is flying through that. I was not aware of these shells when they were being produced. Sure wish Federal would bring the 7 1/2 lead back.

I was also not aware of them, probably would have bought a few boxes for backup. Got these here in the classifieds.

These shot shells are awesome!  I have obtained 5 boxes over a period of time at various Gun Shows.  I shoot them in a 870, 20" RS Rem Choke barrel with a .655 Rem. Ventilator  choke. They contain approx. 700 shot!  From my experience they do require a tight choke.  More than you would use for larger shot sizes. I am always on the lookout for these.

From the above 35 yard pattern, I believe a few more yards could be added if needed or misjudged, at least to 40 yards.

Them  7.5s are surprising! Never realized it until I started using them for sight in loads. A high end 2.75 skeet load will through a pretty good one choked down right!

Pattern may be there but energy is getting marginal beyond 35 yds IMO.

Shoot these through a Rem 870 21” bbl/ Hastings .655
35 yds and in its a killing machine. Never shot one out to 40yds.
Back when I first hunted with these our goal was to get the turkey inside 30yds and we always set up in a way that when the turkey was in a position to see where the calling was coming from he would be within that range. Still hunt that way today.
