Wanted to mention something I learned the hard way, but not bad. I am a lefty shooter, I carry my gun with sling on left shoulder. I noticed some very minor scratches on the camo on my SBE in similar areas that your gun had the scratches. So I had my wife look at the gun while I had it on my shoulder, she noticed it was rubbing against a plastic strap buckle on my vest. It definitely was rubbing the gun when I walked, and eventually would have worn through the camo. I put some rubber tape around the buckle,  problem solved. Shared this in case anyone sees similar scratches on their guns. Be safe, enjoy....
Nice observation. When I hunt with my Greenleaf 870 I carry it in my hand. The only time I will shoulder it is when I am standing still. If I'm moving it is in my hand. It is almost mint condition and I want it to stay that way.

You bet, sling carrying can lead to wear on gun finishes. Nothing wrong with hand carrying our guns at all times....be safe.....

There are a few hydro dip shops that will dip it again in Mossy Oak Bottomland Greenleaf if the wear bothers you.  The pattern is still available.

I had an 870 re-dipped by CFG in Bottomland Greenleaf awhile back that was worn and showing a few rust spots.

The pattern is available but it isn't the same as the original Remington guns. Not to say that it is inferior but it isn't the same. I had my now dedicated Turkey gun done by IMO one of the very best in the business and it turned out better than I could have ever imagined but it isn't a match to the original Remington  Bottomland and Greenleaf guns.

Yea, those patterns were unique. Bet yours turned out good though. It’s a great pattern, old or new....

Easy touchup......Go to your local hobby shop, Testor's model paints can be had in any color you may need to fix minor scratches in camo.........use a flat finish paint, use a fine brush, allow to dry 24 hours then buff with a dry cloth to turn the matte into a semi gloss if that's a better match to your gun.
