Is there a particular type of wood or calling surface you are looking for?  By custom do you mean a exotic wood, decorative type call or just a call you can choose wood type and materials?  There is a million choices out there.  A lot of call makers do not have websites and Facebook turkey call groups will get you a lot of names to consider and pictures of call also.  Good hunting!

Paul Hicks is the only name you need to know in my opinion although I'm quite fond of my Darrin Dawkins aluminum as well.

I have a few that I like.

1. Lonzo Trice (Lonzos Custom Calls)
2. Jimmy Schaefer (Oak Ridge Custom Calls)
3. Mike Yingling ( You can find him on this forum just look up Yingling)
4. Chad "Stumpy" Hutcheson (Dominator Calls)
5. David Halloran (David Halloran Custom Calls)

I listed these 5 because I think Lonzo makes a great stoned aluminum. Jimmy's Atomic-13 is a great anodized aluminum. Mike Yingling makes a great copper and titanium pot. Stumpy makes a great ceramic. And David makes a great crystal call. You can also get good slates from these guys if that's what you want and will not be dissapponted either. Just my .02

I've got a stoned aluminum and a slate from Darrin Dawkins that I like.
I live and hunt by empirical evidence.

Ones that have been consistently good for me include Clay Townsend, MAC and Paul Durham

Never received a call from those three I didn't think was all turkey.

A ton of other great call makers out there, we are definitely living in the age where there are the most number of great pot call builders out there.

Bill Zearing at Cody Calls was the first truly Screaming pot calls out there . His pots are something to behold , even the production pots he builds are super , I hunt with my production pots way more than my Spec one's or my world class calls ...

Have a red slate in a redheart pot on the way from John Sinclair. Lower, raspier sound to compliment the higher pitches from my Crystal Mistress and Enticer aluminum.

David Halloran - crystal
Buster Halford
Brad Roberts - slate
Stumpy Hutchinson - ceramic

What’s surfaces do you want? I’d start there.

Take a serious look at this guy (Mad Baron)! His pots are as good as anything in my collection & I have a bunch. Reasonably priced & great service. I have Platz, Corder, Wynne, etc & I keep picking his up & running it. Clay Townsend, Paul Hicks, or Steve Morgenstern all make great calls & their service is outstanding too! Really hard to go wrong with all the great call makers out there right now!

Nathan Taylor makes a great red slate that can be purchased through his Facebook page (Higher Calling Custom Calls), Jimmy Schaffer makes a very nice aluminum (also on Facebook), and I'm waiting on a couple calls from Buster (Buster's Custom Calls on FB) to make it 3 different makers I've bought from, but the reviews on his pots speak volumes without my 2 cents.
