JLH Strikers
« on: April 30, 2020, 12:47:39 PM »
I recently purchased one of Jeff's Emerald Frogwood strikers, I've run it on Crystal, Glass, and Slate. Let me say if you don't have one ....you need one! It not only looks great but it makes everything sing. Hopefully in 2 days a PA gobbler will feel the same. Thanks for a great striker Jeff !

Agreed his frogwood striker is a pure T smoker! It is a notch or 2 above my old standby 2 pc dymondwood.

Do yourself a favor y'all  try one of his pecan strikers. It is like hickory and persimmon had a baby. Best of both worlds!

I've not tried every striker there is so I can not say Jeff's are the best.  What I can say is I cant imagine there are any that are better than his.  I am not one to care about looks, but his are nearly perfect in workmanship and finish as well as making pure turkey sounds.  As he often says, his strikers are good enough to make my crappy calls sound good!

I can't imagine any sounding much better... but I will have to try his pecan striker,BTH. I plan on using the Frogwood with a MAC crystal Saturday morning for the PA opener

The Emerald Isle Frogwood is hard to beat for any surface. Beautiful, too!

I don't have the The Emerald Isle Frogwood but I have the black one and love the way it sounds myself.

Add another one! I have one as well. Overall, best I've used. Kinda want to get one or two for a backup.

The frogwood on ceramic or on a small slate 2 sider is hard to beat, easiest striker to run in my 25 years of calling.

Well, I got so sick of seeing all the superlatives regarding Jeff`s Frogwood, and considering how good his other strikers are that I have, I said, "What the hell...." and got one. The thing absolutely sings on crystal ( Crystal Mistress ) and raw aluminum ( Enticer Aluminum Thunder)! Yep, it`s as good as everyone says!
