Tristar Viper G2 ???
« on: April 21, 2020, 05:03:14 PM »
Bought a Tristar Viper G2 410 earlier this spring and love the gun so I ordered a 20 just like it. Question I have is that the charging handle on my 410 is sloppy/loose, not to the point where it would fall out but I am not sure as this is normal or not? I have not got my 20 yet and if the loose charging handle is normal it causes no issue's its not a big deal. I like everything else about the guns.

Thanks

Is there any slop at all in them? Maybe something is wrong with mine?

Could it be that its not inserted enough? I tried pushing it in further, maybe more force? It came that way so I just figured that it was in the design??

You can usually pull them out. I’d try removing and put back in

Pulled handle out and inserted several times. Goes in just like it says in the manual but there is still some play? It is not bad enough that it makes contact with the receiver at any point but it does have some slop? this is my first Tristar and like I mentioned above that I have been really impressed with the gun so I ordered one it 20, that has yet to get here. I own several Remington auto loaders and Benelli's and I know that the benelli at least is a lot more costly gun but none of my other guns have the slop in the charging handle, so being new to the Tristar I was just curious?? Like I mentioned before it does not appear to have any effect on gun function.

Just walked out to the safe to check the charging handles on my SBE and 11-87 and noticed although not as much, both have a slight amount of wiggle/slop in them also, just not as noticeable. Thinking to much into issue I am sure but with a new gun/brand that I am not really familiar with I just want to make sure everything is right.

Thanks

The handle you pull back to open action. And all the G2's have some wiggle I have found out.
