WV and MD opening days. Hoping Happy is having some action as I know he hunts MD and WV as well.

Congrats Gobble. No dice on my end. Spent Sat and Sunday trying to get my boy on one. This morning was the first time I have carried a gun. Right at daylight a timber crew started dragging in equipment to start clear cutting the area I was hoping to hunt and with all the jeeps and atvs cruising around the club I just called it a morning and headed home. Got to work at least Tuesday and Wed before I can head back out.

Great job!  Still slow at my spots in Kansas. Heavy Frost and no bugs or grasshoppers in the wheat fields yet, will change when the bugs come out.

He put up a good fight. Surprised me and gobbled within 100 yards of me at 1115, hadn't heard a gobble since 630. Got within 70 yards but he didn't like something and worked off. He got far enough away I was able to reposition and he couldn't take the sound of another gobbler where he just heard a hen. Flirted hard with the 1.5" spur mark, other was broke off unfortunately.
