Just patterned this gun at 25 and 35yds for the best hunting pattern.
Win LB 3" 5's
Win LB 3" 6's
Win LB 3.5 6's
Win XX 3" 5's
Hevi 13 3.5 6's

Win LB 3.5 6's was the best pattern with good coverage and the least amount of gaps.
223 in a 10 @ 35. All the shot inside a 16-18" circle.


*only shell that shot off on POA/POI was the Hevi 13. Must be the wad.

Best hunting pattern from 15-40yds is still The Ventilator .655/ XX 3/2/6's in the gun.

27" from the receiver to the end of the bbl and 28" with the choke.

Have the Fed TSS 3.5 9's but ran out of targets. It should be serious out of this gun.

How tight was the xx at 15 yards? I shoot an Indian creek and want a little tighter pattern at 40 but like it up close

The XX 5's were terrible at 35yds with the Rem Extra Full .687 so didn't shoot them again. The setup I normally use out of this gun is the XX 3/2/6's/ Ventilator .655.  It shoots the whole pattern in a 10 at 15yds and most of the pattern at 25yds. My best pattern at 40 is 162 in a 10 with the XX 3/2/6's.
Longbeards at 15yds are gonna be a softball. Shooting these LB 6's will just have to shoot before he gets there. The Rem XF/ LB 3.5 6's I will be looking to shoot when he hits the 40yd mark. Takes some of the fun out of it but have these shells so might as well use them. Also fun to hunt with different guns.
