Nebraska suspends nonresident licenses

Nebraska announced that they are suspending the sales of nonresident spring turkey licenses. If you already bought one, you can still hunt.

Is this the first state to do this?  I haven't heard of anyone else but if one state starts this, you'll see others follow suit.

Nebraska is the only I have heard of doing it so far. According to South Dakota's website, they are not closing their non-resident season.

Kansas hasn’t closed it yet but is offering to return your money if you choose to not hunt. If you do go out of state and especially on DIY hunts, places to stay and places to eat may be difficult to find, plan for it.
