Opinion of Carlsons Chokes-Escort Shotgun
« on: March 22, 2020, 10:25:56 PM »
My son is shooting a Hatsan made Escort 20gauge youth model with a 21 inch barrel.  Love the gun, Santa brought it this year.  Just checking to see what choke tubes you guys would recommend for shooting TSS shells.

The thread pattern is for Rem style chokes so finding a choke will not be a problem.  The TSS choke from Carlsons is a constriction of .555 i believe.

Any opinions will help, thanks...

Lots of people including myself are shooting a Carlson's 575 non-ported out of an 870 20 gauge.

Are you shooting TSS loads or Long Beard XR?  Just curious...

Thanks...

I shoot the Carlson .575 non ported turkey choke out of 4 different 20 gauge shotguns with Federal TSS #9 and it works great! I like my pattern to be more forgiving for turkey hunting so I will not use anything tighter than that.
