Beginning of my 870 build
« on: March 18, 2020, 01:22:51 PM »
I got most of my parts in . Now Im waiting on the gun which should be here Friday.
I guess you could say Im putting the stock before the horse.
This will be an 870 youth. Once I get it all together and receiver drilled for the FF3 mount Ill have it dipped in Bottomland.
The plan is to hunt with it some this season then possibly send it to Black River Precision to have the Pure Poison treatment .

I know. 45 bucks a hole to tap a receiver. I thought my gunsmith was high at $50 for four holes for a picatinny rail.

Exactly, I thought I was paying too much for having mine drilled and tapped too... Looks like I got a great deal lol

Well Im one step farther.  I got the 870 today and promptly took it to a smith to have the Sumtoy mount installed.
Then I installed the stock ,forearm and choke.
Ran a few rounds through it just to see how it cycled. All good . So.
Off the my guy for a dipping monday.

I built a 20 gauge remington just for turkey hunting this season but holding off on having it dipped till after turkey season. The guy who will be doing the graphics does alot of tournament fishing and will be tied up all of april.

I’d have to poison it myself. That’s a sharp looking rig though, congrats

If only I would have heard of this company before why is it at you spend hours making phone calls
Sending emails to gun manufacturers and virtually not getting anywhere so you just say hey
It’s not 100 percent what I want but it’s close and then bam a post like this comes up and now your broke with 2,000 into a gun that’s not 100 percent what you truly wanted back to the drawing board
