Went Down That Road

Well wasn’t  going to go down this road but was bored lol and ordered 2 pieces green slate 3.5.   I have a few of these calls and was just to high pitched for my taste so jumped on. See if I could get some good rasp out of the surface   This is the second one I’ve made first came out high pitched also changed some things up now Iam pretty happy with sound   and just stuck with good sounding wood for calls.  Black Cherry. Thanks Again     Yes I think it came out pretty turkey sounding  ,,, I got say Iam beginning to realy like this surface the more I pick this call up and run it more I like ,,conditioned the call once when I first made it that was it ,,still runs great ,,, I my mind it will never replace the mellow sounds of gray slate ,,But will say they each have their own unquie sound  ,,,
