Fiddle Boxes

I picked up these beauties from Marlin to see what the talk is all about. They are great boxes, two totally different sounding boxes that are all turkey.

I'd love to hear that Macassar/Butternut.

Beautiful boxes for sure.  One of his boxes is on my "must have" list

Very nice, I really like mine, hope to get a short box from him this Summer.

The butternut/Macassar took me a little more time to warm up to, it is a little more raspy than I usually like, but the more I play it on both sides, the more it sounds so realistic.
Also it has a knot on the left side that gives it some character that you don't see in many of his boxes.

Congrats on the great calls. I also have a Macassar over Butternut and love it.

Congrats on a pair of killers. Marlin’s fiddle boxes are full of turkey.

Macassar and anything from Marlin is pure VOODOO in my hands in the turkey woods . I asked him to not let me play ANY Fiddlepaddles before making my purchases of Fiddle boxes this year at Nationals . all I can say is he cost me alot of money on the misfits and Fiddle boxes. He still builds some of my favorite boxes and I really like different wood combos ...
