Mercy.  That's a dead bird for sure.  Have fun & good hunting this Spring.

Luck counts, good or bad.

roverboy

Yep, if a bird is standing in front of that, he's in trouble.
Listen for the gobble

Fullfan

Very nice, coming from a guy who spent a fortune trying to get the Heviweights to pattern. When I hunted with them the choke built by George Truelock for the Heviweight #7 would produce 200 in the 10@40.  That stuff is very nasty, I have a lifetime supply in 3" and 3.5" if the TSS ever becomes unavailable.
Don't gobble at me...

Is that the newer .640 tss choke, or the regular .640 turkey choke?

JMalin

It's the newer TSS version.  I purchased 10 more boxes of this stuff.  Should last a while and I don't see a need to buy more expensive TSS shells with a pattern like that out at 40.

BINK McCARTY

Heck yeah!!!! Great pattern!!! I wish someone would start loading the sphero tungsten (15 g/cc) commercially again. I know Kent does but I think they are missing something.

Jmloch

I used my new Carlson .640 on a long beard at 50 yards yesterday.. dropped him.. my first turkey.. I patterned it last week, tungsten 8's, 2 3/4 ..It was 4-6 inches low
