Heavy emphasis on the beard measurements clearly showing the full length of the beard and having a digital fish (or turkey) scales. Other scales will work but the digitals make it much easier and they cost less than a couple TSS loads. 

Here's a super cheap one I bought for kids stocking stuffers this year but they're surprisingly accurate.
