Venom mount question

I bought a Sumtoy mount for my Stevens 301 and Vortex Venom sight. I forgot to mention I'd be using a guard with it and the little recoil lugs barely protrude enough to grab the sight after guard is installed(100% my fault). Should I worry about it? I don't want to the sight come loose

We have one that is all in one.     That said this setup should work.
