Qdma question trees
« on: October 09, 2019, 06:18:24 PM »
Anyone have any suggestions on fruit, berry or nut trees/bushes?
I’m looking to plant wild persimmons on my property. But I’m also looking for other fruit or nut trees in SE US area that are good draws for turkey and deer. Want large producers that require minimal care.
Like a variety of trees that fruit at different times of the year
Any input is appreciated

Looking for mast producers specificly for Turkeys (and deer of course but will plant others) other than oaks. See some suggestion from local tree producer. Any suggestions or thoughts? Looking for larger producers that require minimum care

sawtooth oaks are good they produce a lot of acorns very quickly. You can get seedlings for less than a dollar a piece and they will have acorns in 5 or 6 years.
