Looking to add a couple Hornstra Trumpets to my collection. Would like too know yalls favorite combos from Herb. Opinions and Pictures welcome.

It's not mine, but I have run one of his shoulder bone calls that is one of the easiest drawing and best sounding calls I have used, excellent call.

I will add to the topic- not having a lot of years of trumpet calling but having trumpets from a lot of different makers, for me, Hornstras are the easiest to play and with that they have a natural rasp that most others don’t...for me.  Not debating who makes the best caller because I really like Buice, Cox, Permar, KP, Prudhomme, Townsend and several others.  But Hornstra callers are just so easy for me to play that I would recommend anyone starting out to save the money and purchase one.  Hope this helps.

Struggled with mine. Didn’t get the wood  I ordered. Ended up trading it for a 5.5 ironwood Buice. Glad I did.
