Field limit was 12, I shot 8 but lost one.  Ended up with 7 in the vest.  Should have killed a limit as there were birds but it took me longer to warm up than usual, lol.  Love a good dove hunt!

  I hear ya on the warm up period. every year I say I'm going to concentrate and not waste the first 6-10 shells.....well it's a good thought. Usually after that I'm on them pretty good. Hey this year I never had to warm up, since my firing pin broke on the 3rd shot and I was done.

We don't get enough to really get excited about here. Shame too. I've really liked the ones I've eaten in the past.

We had a fun opener.  Good friends, lots of shooting/laughs and a band to boot.  Brought the cameras along for proof.
