Need advice:Looking to get my first locator
« on: July 18, 2019, 10:24:11 PM »
I’m wanna purchase my first locator call but I’m not sure on maker, sound, woods, price range for these and was hoping someone could school me. I can see myself trying to roost birds with it the night before a hunt. Owl call maybe? Is it worth going custom? Thanks in advance.

Harrison or Gibson for owl and Gibson for crow. Certainly worth buying custom, I haven’t used many production calls that come close to Gibson or Harrison.

I like a Houndstooth hooter over the Harrison..Can’t go wrong with either one

Plenty of crow call makers on the form here.

Can’t beat the Harrison owl call and crow call. Here’s my matching set.

Thank you for all of the helpful responses. Now I got one more question, how do I contact Mr Harrison?

I found my answer looks like they are sold by Hooks Calls. I’m gonna pick one up and start practicing.
