Suspenseful fictional turkey hunting book

There is a suspenseful fictional turkey hunting book where a dad and I think his daughter are out hunting and run into a group of backwoods people up to no good and have to run for their lives.  Anyone know the title of this book?  I can’t remember it.

A good fictional turkey hunting book would be about a turkey hunter killing a gobbler with a sqealing hen turkey call.
