I believe I’m going to start with a one man game

Just don’t pay any attention to anything in the forward.
“[T]he changing environment will someday be totally and irrevocably unsuitable for the wild turkey.  Unless mankind precedes the birds in extinction, we probably will not be hunting turkeys for too much longer.”  Ken Morgan, “Turkey Hunting, A One Man Game

Why do you say that?

Pay close attention to it. Mr. Yarbrough (Silvestris) wrote it.

A lot of great turkey hunting books out there. Jim Spencer’s books and anything from Tom Kelly,Hunting the American Wild Turkey by Dave Harbour is a good one I just read. The Old Pro by Nunnery, Bearded Bird by Larry Hudson too many to list. If you haven’t yet go to Jim Casada’s book site he has a list of most of the Turkey hunting titles, you can usually find them cheaper but it is a good reference.
If you make everything easy how do you know when your good at anything?

Have to say through the years One Man Game and Old Pro are in a league of their own.  East of the Slash is also in that special class, but Nunnery knows the battle like no other it seems and Ken Morgan wants you to kill the bastard

Turkey Hunters Digest by Dwain Bland. Has chapters devoted to specific sub-species including the Gould’s. It can be found on EBay or Amazon I’m sure. Get well soon!

I bought Turkey hunting, a one man game off a recommendation of this tread and can't seem to put the book down, it's easily worth the 20 bucks. Its got a southern theme that I enjoy.
