Anyone have this trumpet?
« on: June 07, 2019, 12:21:06 PM »
This is a trumpet I've had for a long time. I killed a couple birds with it
years ago and then quit using it.
I think it's a Penn's Woods trumpet they made after they made the original Tom Turpin trumpet.

       1. Do you guys know what model it is?
       2. Is it any good?
       3. I want to get back into using a trumpet, was looking at Permar
Delrin .45 and Buice osage. Would these be a significant upgrade?

                                                       Thanks, Jim

The Permar .45 and a Buice Osage has been the death of many gobblers.

I do not think that is a Penn's Woods. I looked at about 20 I have and none had the 3 rings. Ralph makes an easy one to use. Carried it to success several times this year.

I have since found a few pictures of the trumpet and it is a Penn's Woods.
I was pretty sure it was.
    Thanks for replying guys.
