Did I save the proper bones for a wingbone call? Also what is the proper curing process for these? Do I boil them?

The late Harold Fowler made me some wingbone strikers,they are hell on slate for tree
talk and soft calling.

I would have liked to have met the man, I have heard a lot about him. Maybe one day I will be able to afford some of what he made, I hear he made some quality merchandise.
