It is one possibility, but I have a thumbhole stock on my Knight inline muzzle loader and love it and would love to have the same on my shotgun. I would love to put one on all my guns to be honest, but I do not have that kind of money.

If you search around remington came out with a 870 and 1187 that was fully camo with the synthetic thumbhole stock you like several years back. The ones I remember seeing I believe were Mossy oak obsession camo..
I have the shurshot stocks on a couple guns and they work pretty good also and definitely are lighter than the wood thumbhole stocks,but in all honesty I kind of just prefer a plain stock probably because it's what I grew up shooting..

I simply can't afford a whole new gun. It would be nice though. Of the greener camo patterns Mossy Oak Obsession is my favorite though.
