JLH Strikers
« on: May 18, 2019, 11:02:38 AM »
Being I have a striker and pot call obsession I’m always looking to try new strikers. The recent raving on here about Mr. Jeff’s strikers finally made me break and I made the call to him. To start with he is an absolute joy to talk to and helpful doesn’t even begin to describe him. I told him what some of my favorite woods were and what sounds I liked to hear. He gave me options that he tends to like better with his strikers as far as the wood types go and also gave me some different options to get the sounds I like to pull from a pot. Like I do with any call maker, I let him be the judge and boy am I glad I did. These are some of the finest quality, easiest playing, consistent, and flat out runners I’ve ever laid my hands on. All 6 have taken the spot of my previous “favorites” in my vest and I’ll absolutely be getting more from him. Thanks a ton Mr. Jeff!!

Agree - his heavy cedar is striker perfection.

JLH strikers are fine as any out there. My favorite I own is a tulipwood with bloodwood being a close second.

The trouble with Jeff's strikers is the fact that one or two or ten isnt enough.  I am firmly convinced that he puts some sort of addictive substance on them that absorbs into your skin.  I have never been a striker guy.  Been using the same few for years until this year and now I have so many I cant remember what they all are.  I will say that while I love the hormingo the Honduran rosewood is really growing on me and his snakewood is absolutely perfect.

Thanks guys!

I am still humbled by all of this.
It has been a pleasure meeting everyone, making new friends, and getting pictures of dead turkeys from around the country!

Again, I honestly appreciate the kind words and support from this community.

Jeff told me if you keep posting pictures of his strikers, he is going to drive to your house, and sock you in the eye. :TooFunny: :TooFunny:
Just kidding:  Larry, you and Jeff build some top quality calls and strikers for sure.
