Lynch Foolproof 101 1965 Birmingham
« on: May 13, 2019, 01:09:37 PM »
I picked up this Lynch Foolproof 101 1965 Birmingham model recently; I know it is different from one I bought about 1987. What can ya'll tell me about it? Age? Anything"special"? I know it sounds good
Thanks

One of the best production box calls ever made. Birmingham made lynch calls can bring a pretty penny.

Birmingham 101's generally bring 2x or more than what Birmingham 102's bring.    Birmingham calls are pre-1970 or very nearly thereabouts.

Every time I see one of these lynch calls, I want to kick my own arse.  As a teen, I lost my dad's call from the early 80s and although I have purchased 4 or 5 more, I have never found one that sounded as sweet.  Nice call!

Its a fact , newer ones sound nowhere as good as the older ones.

Reading this post made me go play my one sider. This was my very first turkey call I bought when I was 10 years old with grass cutting money. Still has a great sound. You have a nice piece of turkey call history.

I bought one in the early 90's, great all around box call IMO.  It makes its way in the woods every spring at some point.  Called in my first turkey using that foolproof, fall hen.

Later model with 1965 on it and zip code. Made between 1965 and 1970.
