Struck out in Ohio
« on: May 12, 2019, 08:07:31 PM »
Only had 3 half days to hunt in Ohio and though we were on birds, they always went to a place that we weren't allowed to hunt.  I've got 2 more days to hunt in Massachusetts and then I'm done.
Had a good year here in West Virginia.  Two of my best birds every bit the dust.

Yep two awesome WV birds. I'm still stuck on 1 in MD. Normally that wouldn't be a concern but unlike most years I've been hunting for myself this year and its been a struggle.

You’ve more than made up for it with your birds in WV, great job man. I think we now just need one more person to enter a bird to get our 9 total. We’ve killed some good ones so far...

I'm headed to Massachusetts next week to hunt their last two days of the year up there.  I doubt I can upgrade but I won a free hunt and I'm going.

It's getting close to the end.  I hope that some WidowMaker is still hunting.  We need that bird.

Was looking at the totals for other teams, we’re up there but would need a giant 75+ bird to jump first place, I believe. Unless some get some upgrades of course. Still an incredible season by our team, we’ll be near the top regardless

I may still get out a little. Not sure as I have some family health issues that are very serious and that has been taking priority for most of my season.

Got one to 80 this morning. Saw my hen decoy and went the other way.   :character0029:

I don't use decoys very much anymore.  I've seen them scare gobblers away more than they pull them in.  Especially late in the season.
