Was a rather tough hunt out there this year. Tom's were very much henned up! They wouldn't leave a hen for nothing, and those blasted hens would always lead the toms away from our calling. Had to get in front of the birds after playing with them for a day and a half. Still have 1 SD tag left in my packet, so I'm going to try and get back out there in a couple weeks. Hens should be sitting by then, so hopefully those toms will want to play some.
