Looking for some recommendations on a raw or stoned aluminum surface in a WOOD pot that is a 2 sider with a flush mounted (not countersunk) slate on the bottom. I like the size diameter of Ed Jenkins slate bottoms and Dustin's (Blackstone) slate bottoms. Trying to find the sound of a Dawkins but with a wood pot in a 2 sider configuration. I know there are some slick anodized options out there but that is a last resort for me.
Have tried the Persimmon Hill green blasted with the slate on the bottom. Very nice call, excellent customer service but the sound is
way to mellow for me. My brother has the silver thunder extreme from Enticer. Very nice call and really good sound but would rather have a wood pot vs. a corian pot.
May have to wait on Jenkins later in the year. Anyone ever have Ed build one like this before?
