Well, bad news. I've lost the 2 places that were most productive for me. Well, one for sure. The other, I can't seem to get hold of the farmer. I'm hoping things turns around for the better. My buddy and I checked out s new spot today. Birds around but on neighboring properties. There's sign there so we know they come through it. Just don't think they're living on it. Fingers crossed. Congrats to all that have killed already and good luck to those that haven't.

No dice. Not sure if the wind held them up or if it was the rain last night. Not a peep this morning anywhere. But they'd had to been in my lap to hear one once the wind kicked up. Had to get to work. People need pools opened I guess. So, give it another go tomorrow.

Had what appeared to be a 2 y/o coming in today. Things didn't pan out. Guess he didn't like the setup. Thought I had more than enough cover to get things right. Just didn't like not seeing he hen I guess. Whispy beard and short spurs. Got a pretty good look at him at one point. Not too broken hearted. Plenty of time left.

Not a chance! Time is very limited for me right now and I took a heck of a spill today trying to measure a pool liner. Pretty certain I'm gonna need an x-ray but feeling a bit headstrong at the moment. Hoping it's just a muscle issue and not nerve damage. I'm considering taking the 10 ga tomorrow tho. Seeing as I've not patterned it, the odds should be very similar.

Nah. I think I'm ok. It's still sore and shouldering a gun is painful. I'm rolling with the 20 ga tomorrow. Carried 22 mag last couple days knowing recoil was going to be an issue but I think I'll b fine with the 20 in the morning. We'll see I guess.
