I was at a local gun store today and ran across this model. Anyone heard of it?

Yep they are similar to the M3000 / M3500 steady grip that was designed for turkeys. I currently have an M3000 and love it. I paid $630 for mine back in 2016. It was a little rough at first getting the POI corrected but all is good now with a Vortex venom red dot scope. The factory turkey choke didn’t pattern the best either so I went with an Indian Creek. Here’s a couple pics of mine.

What base did you use on this gun?

I ordered it online through EGW for $30 bucks. The Stoeger’s come drilled and tapped from the factory. You just have to take a knife or something sharp and pop out the plugs where the base mounts. It looks like it would fit that M3020 as well.

Ok,thank you very much. From what I understand the bases fit all the Stoeger guns, but the 3020 is not drilled & tapped only the 12 gauge.

Yeah no problem. The second picture in your original post looked exactly like mine did before I popped them circles out. Once you do that then you will see that it’s already drilled and tapped for a base. Hope this helps.

I know mine was. The gun shop where I bought mine said all of the Stoeger turkey guns come drilled and tapped from the factory. It’s probably smart of them to do that since most of them guns shoot differently. If you see small circles with plastic inserts in them then it’s drilled and tapped for sure. I would call Stoeger to confirm on the 3020. Again, mine is the 3000.

My good friend and hunting buddy just bought a M3020. It did not come drilled and tapped.

Can someone that actually owns one please post a pic to confirm?! I know mine did not look as if it was at first so I simply asked the gun shop and the guy pointed it out to me. Due to the camo it’s very hard to tell.

I spoke to Chris @ customer service and he confirmed the M3020 TURKEY MODEL IS DRILLED & TAPPED. The other M3020 models ARE NOT drilled & tapped. Now the home defense model comes from the factory with a rail attached to the receiver and also has a ghost ring sight mounted separately behind the already mounted base. The base you will need to get if you decide to have your M3020 drilled & tapped is a Weaver 93A (48506) which is a one piece with 4 grooves - I believe. Or you can get the multi-slot rail which is Weaver 93AT (48339). Hope this helps!!!!
