Bps 10 Project
« on: April 28, 2019, 09:01:10 AM »
In 2012 I bough a well used BPS 10 from an friend who didn’t want to carry the 10# field piece. At the time he was flirting with 70 and I was still in my 20s.  When I got it I scoured local hardware stores an bought up 11 boxes of old Federal 2 1/4oz #4 shot.  With a Kicks 690 this thing patters awesome.

So far I have 5 toms on this thing.  The last time I carried it was in 2014.  The worn bluing and black stock just didn’t do it for me.

Which brings me to yesterday... Being stuck inside with the family during a snow storm I was looking for a project.  Yesterday’s work included:

-Fitting a recoil pad
-Filling in the holes in the rib where rifle sights had been tapped.
-Disassembly and painting
-Clear Coat
- Reblued the Mag tube/Action bars
-Reassembly

I’m happy with how it turned out!

Nice!  I wish I could find a steal on a used black synthetic BPS 10 ga.
