I like it,It is catchy and I can't say It is original as I read it on here awhile ago but I find it fits the gun accordingly.
Two weeks till opening day and hoping I can get this pic....

I went and patterned the gun with the red dot an hour ago,I was planing on trying everything I had in the arsenal but, with it ready to thunderstorm and starting to rain fairly hard I stuck with the #4's,It took me two shells to get the red dot dialed in,I used #4 federal grand slams, was about 8" inches low and 6" to the left at 30 yards,I adjusted and fired another at 30 yards and it was about 1.5" to the right but dead on target.

I then adjusted a tad and went back to 40 yards and fired 1 Federal Grand slam #4 and 1 Remington premiere #4,I didn't fire any more as I was more then happy with what i seen and it was starting to downpour. The difference is night and day from the tri viz sights.I did adjust a little after the tow shots at 40 yards, here they are,2nd one is Federal Grand slam #4,1st is the Remington Premiere #4.

Not trying to be a JO. But thats a 10g pattern? They are lousy. I shoot 2 3/4" 4's out of a few 12g and have way more hits then that. I expected something totally different from that. I mean its going to kill the bird but not worth the extra weight to me.

I don't think its any better than average myself, compared to what for what the 20's and 12's do I own,but I like hunting with my guns and the bird is going to die the same way.I have over 20 shotguns and want to at least get them out for a few hunts.I like the feel of the gun,It is heavy but it is a Browning and I like it.

I totally respect that. I to like to take different guns out. I was just expecting this pattern to knock my socks off and then i see a pattern that the 20g guys are getting.
It is a cool gun and I would buy one myself if I had the opportunity.

Soon as I can find different types of ammo I plan on trying it.I can only shoot as high as #7's and have never found any or any tss in a #7 yet for 10 gauge, not even a long beard xr in a 10 gauge, that would be incredible, all I use for my 12 gauges.
I also have numerous boxes of #5's for it but I am confident in the #4's to 40 yards.I am not overly impressed with the $93.00 I spent on the .680 longbeard xr choke,I could have killed the bird with the briley stock extra full turkey choke,oh well.

I took the gun for a hunt this morning,17 jakes in two different little gangs,3 hens and the two toms with 3 other hens.Toms went other way and jakes didn't want to gobble on the ground, must be getting the spurs from Tommy.

I then had a few minutes mid morning and patterned the gun with the Briley extra full turkey choke that comes with gun with the Grand slam #4's at 40 yards,I liked this pattern better and will use this choke and shell combo until I find something I like better.

Pretty happy with my purchase,as I have been looking for the hr 10 gauge single shot for about 5 years, this purchase ended that search. The gun is a 9.9-10,there is a small scuff on the stock and you can barely notice it.He purchased this new and took it goose hunting twice and it has been a safe queen for years.I believe this gun to be a 2009-2010 from the camo finish on it as it has the same break up as my 12 gauge 3.5 and I bought it in 2011.
Great find! 10’s are in a league all by themselves!  :camohat:

The apex shells are not legal to hunt with where I am so until they are,I couldn't be bothered to waste my energy or time trying to find them.

My best friend and hunting partner has the blued walnut version and is VERY concerned on how few companies are still making 10ga turkey shells and only Remington he claims makes a 2.25oz load of #4 shot. So concerned was he that he just ordered enough of the 10ga Remington 2.25oz #4 shot to last him the rest of his turkey hunting days.

I am a bit of a gun junky and the ONLY thing that stops me from buying a 10ga is the lack of dedicated turkey hunting shell selection, that and the fact Winchester doesn't make their AWESOME Long Beard XR's in 10ga.
I just came across a mint condition SP10 at a good price, but passed on it due to IMHO poor 10ga turkey shell selection.
