Only have the old yella K&H, never take it out. Probably give it to the neighbor kid when I get back to PA.

Absolutely !!!!

There's a lot of good sounding production boxes out there...…….

Hally Caller Deluxe Box
Primos Heartbreaker
KITS Black Widow (the demise of my daughter's 2018 bird)
Quaker Boy Little One-Sider
Smith's Sweet Butternut
Quaker Boy's paddle calls

The warm, fuzzy feeling that comes with hunting a good custom call may not be there ………….but there's a LOT of killer production boxes out there.

What is a KITS?

I think Don is referring to the callmaker Kip Tipton from New York. He was in Earl Mickel's books. First one I believe.

The only mass production call that sees vest time for me is an old Quaker Boy Aluminator in a black plastic pot. Awesome little production pot call. Found it in a clearance bin for $5 many years ago.

My favorite long box is a primos battleship. I will be handing that call down to my daughter. Don't foresee parting with it any other way.

I killed a PILE of gobblers with a primos heartbreaker box that I have all but retired.

Good enough to make my short-list of good production calls.  Yep.

These are the only two I have.

The Feather Touch is all cherry.  The Black Widow is all black locust.  I'd not hesitate to take either as my only box on opening day.  Like I said before...……….the Black Widow was responsible for the demise of my daughter's slammer of a bird last spring.

That's a good one. One of the first turkey calls I ever bought. That, an ol yeller and a primos power crystal were my main calls for several years
