vortex venom

Im wanting to mount a vortex venom on a rem 870 20 guage.. some talk about the 336 rail will work. i need educated on which rail  # and will it work on picatinny base mount that comes with the viper.

Not sure about the 336 base but Weaver bases will generally not interchange with a picatinny base - the picatinny cross bolts are larger and tougher. I bought a Weaver base and gently filed the cross slots just enough for the base to fit and it's fine, but you will have to do just a little bit of gentle work...

Well  i lokked on optics planet the viper uses a cr2032 and the venom a cr1632
