Hunting public or private land?  A couple of us have been tossing around a trip to Michigan for the last couple of years (this year is out). ...Will be curious as to the public-land hunting possibilities you find....

Good luck to all. I’d love to travel for birds but can’t with the business. Keeps me kinda local in the end. Well, that and I’ve got the itch to kill an elk. Not wanting to tell my wife I’m leaving in the spring and again in the fall. She’s been gracious enough to allow me to break loose in the fall even looking at a 5 year plan. Not gonna overstep my bounds at the moment when I can generally get a decent bird here. Would love to catch up with some of you guys in s couple years tho.

Gimme till next year to figure something out. There’s a lot more ground to cover in the Braxton/Lewis county area. Tons of public land. Steep terrain but good hunting. Especially with a boat. Plus, the fishing is good. Can camp out there. Unless ur looking for a short stay. Then I can provide some local lodging and there’s sleepy creek wma. Decent chunk of ground. Lots more competition tho. Gimme an idea what ur looking for and I’ll figure something out.
