Anybody notice large pellet count drops from 30 to 40? Just finished a viper g2 .410 build and the 30yd numbers were great. The 40yd pellet count seemed way low. Im seeing approx 115 at 40 and 240s at 30yd with apex and comp n choke. Got to get more bullets to shoot at 40 again.

Below is pic of gun and 1 of the 30 yd targets. I did use large paper and stapled the targets onto them when sighting the gun in.

I think those are pretty sound numbers. I'm also testing  a new 410 G2 special turkey I just got. Seeing about 75 hits ...but that's with fed #9..and the factory x full turkey choke.

Will be testing apex 9.5 and a costom choke soon.. Also need to get a trigger job...like all these Turkish guns require.

Yes check out February 20 post by gumby on tss 35 yards apex 9.5.
His pattern dropped way down from 35 to 40. Great to 35.
Wonder if TSS 9.5 are a bit to light to hold pattern at a distance beyond 35 or so ?

Shot this at 40 with Apex 9.5s out of an old Mossberg bolt action 410 with a full screw on choke.
