favorite green anodized pots.
« on: March 08, 2019, 08:56:10 AM »
looking through pots last night and noticed I have quite a few green anodized I have picked up over the years. my favorites that I hunt with are Ray Tomkins and Tim Sanford. Over the last 15 years these two calls have been the demise of many longbeards and will continue to have place in vest this season even though I have numerous others.
what are your favorite green anodized pots you have had over the years?

A very underrated surface. I love the tone of green aluminum.

Hey man! Didn’t know you were on here!

The slick green is louder and higher pitch than black in my experience. The blasted side is mellower and like a slate on steroids.

I agree. After a long weekend of playing calls I have officially decided that I prefer green anodized over black. I think much of this preference comes with 25 years of familiarity of the green being in my vest and collection. Also, found that wooden sound board with green anodized is truly unique sound.

The Bud and Betty aluminum is definitely a killer! I don't think he's making calls anymore though.

This was my favorite green aluminum call. He had a unique texture on the surface if I recall correctly.

I actually make green aluminum calls. I use the blasted side and condition a spot on the surface with a scotch brite pad. I’ve made them in walnut, cherry and bubinga.
