Enticer Rolling Thunder
« on: March 04, 2019, 10:18:13 PM »
Does anyone have an opinion on the Enticer calls, especially the rolling thunder. I don't see anyone on here talking about them much and have been thinking about ordering one. Looked for them at the NWTF convention and did not find one. Opinions appreciated.

I have an Enticer Silver Thunder that I got primarily to use in wet weather. I believe the thing would play submerged! I got an acrylic Quaker Boy striker for $3 that I think sounds really good on it.

I’ve also got a Silver Thunder Extreme that I have for wet weather. It plays under the faucet w water on high.
If you see video of it being played it may not be exactly the way you run it.
I think it’s a great call that no one uses because of this.
Back side of the corian pot can be scuffed up n played on real soft as well

Al makes a great call and will be a great addition to your turkey call arsenal.

I have the rolling thunder. In my opinion it's ok. It's a heavy call. I think your better off with the wet one, his aluminum or his lower profile pot.

I carry the Silver Thunder last couple years. It's a great change up to glass or slate. Here's a sound file I made last year.

I use my Rolling Thunder when the weather calls for it. As stated earlier it's only achilles is it is a heavy call being corian, but when your carying it you won't have many calls in the vest using it mainly in bad weather. Al makes a great call at a great price and you won't be dissapointed. His aluminum striker play's in all weather. I have been to Al's shop and played all his calls. If you are looking for a lighter call that is versitale his Triple Sidekick is a great call, it is a thinnner call that is Aluminum with glass and the corian. Check them out at his website.

I think you might be right about those videos. I`ll probably never play my calls the way Al plays them ( too long and too loud for my taste ). Really a good change of pace, though, from my Crystal Mistress.

that's the great thing about calls,...everyone will run any type of call different from the next guy,..and every type of call can be run different,..depending on a lot of things. There are so many different types and sounds of the wild turkey.   The MOST important part when judging a call is the connection between the ground and the call.

Thanks for the replies. Think I will order one his calls on payday. May not be the rolling thunder though. Have been trying to lighten my satchel up some. Don't like a heavy "man purse."

Know what you mean. I go with a belt with fanny pack and 2 HS Strut pouches, one on each side. Holds everything I need ( 2 pots, several strikers, 2 mouth calls, a box call, little water container, a snack should I want one with me, shells unless I just go with the 3 in my gun ). No vest.

An Enticer Silver Thunder Extreme will outplay many of the more expensive aluminum pots. The back of that thing is also great for tree calls to roosted birds.
