Hi guys, my name is Alan and it appears I got in just under the wire...thanks to Travis and Shannon. I'm from upstate NY and plan to hunt MO, KS, NY and (if enough time) PA this spring...in that order. I started in the spring of 1976 in PA after getting hooked upon hearing my first gobble. Most likely before some of you were born LOL. I've been in a previous contest with the Trumpet Thumpers. One thing I really like about the contest...it makes you take a number of pictures you may not have taken otherwise. Good luck to all.

Anybody know "Syn"?  He's the only person I believe that hasn't checked in with our team.  I've PM'd him twice.   I think at some point we can replace him if he doesn't check in

Shoot, you may have to replace me if I don’t get on a bird.

Daughter chose S FL Science Museum over turkey hunting this morning.

Cool part was getting to see President Trump drive by!!  Daughter said he had his happy face on instead of his grumpy face.

Lol, we ain't replacing you squidd - while it is a "contest", it's purpose is to meet new people, talk turkey, have fun, participate, share stories, etc.

My daughters are 5 and 10, and neither show ANY interest in turkey hunting, and typically yell at me at least once a day for running calls in my house.   I think it's the getting up at 4am part that turns them off, lol.

Doughnuts worked for awhile and the 4 AM is the same reason.

Last two mornings have been silent and birdless.  Plenty of hunters walking by and same story, nothing heard.  Time to move to a third WMA next weekend.
